On Sunday, December 11, 2022, Dover Baptist Church held their normal Sunday worship service which was a great one lead by our interim pastor, Bro. Bradley Gray. At the conclusion of the service, we had our normal monthly business meeting. This meeting however, was more important than normal. We had two BIG issues to address. One, would we call Bro. Nathan Mayfield to be our pastor? Two, we needed to adopt/no adopt our 2023 budget for the church. After a wonderful sermon with lots of good music, the business meeting took place. Each attendee was given a paper ballot to vote Yes or No for Bro. Mayfield. The votes were then turned in and counted by Pulpit Committee chair/deacon, Greg Bell and church secretary, Charlotte White. Bro. Nathan Mayfield was overwhelmingly called to be our next pastor.
