Vacation Bible School 2014

Dover just finished a fantastic Vacation Bible School. We ended up with a total of 26 pupils, every class had pupils, with the 3rd and 4th grades having the highest attendance, followed by 5th and 6th grades. I was especially pleased with who came as pupils, many were prospects who do not currently attend church. Everything ran smoothly and the kids had a wonderful time of growing in The Lord. The Lord blessed us with an abundance of workers, 32 workers helped out and lead our VBS. Our youth did an outstanding job of leading and reaching out to our children. Considering when I came as pastor we had no youth coming to church, this is a major blessing.

Our mission offering reached $92, which will be sent to Wayne and Barbara Myers in Swaziland. Barbara grew up in Dover Baptist Church and her mom still attends when health permits. Wayne was serving as Youth Director at Dover when he felt the call to foreign missions.

The church was decorated to match our theme with the main emphasis being, Jesus and his touch in our lives. Sister churches shared their decorations and today, we were able to pass them all on to another church, so they are continued to being used to glorify Christ.

Sunday will be Parents Day. We had new pupils every night. A new addition was a VBS Prayer Wall which is still up, students and teachers each night turned in prayer requests. We will now follow up with every student that attended, with their families.

Barbara Sue Doyle, Kelli Carper, Linda Swift and Charlotte White took lots of pictures as did Scotty Anderson, his video will be shown on Sunday morning during worship services.
