On Saturday night, February 27, 2021, Dover Baptist Church held it's annual Valentine's Day Banquet. The event had been pushed back a week due to bad weather. It was held in the Family Life Center and began at 6:00 PM. The FLC was nicely decorated for the Valentine's Dinner. Freddie, Diane and Ally Sharp were overseers of the event. The youth group supplied all the manpower. The dinner is a fundraiser for the youth program so they can afford to go to summer camp this year. The dinner was on a donation basis only. It looks like the youth group will be going to Cedarmore this Summer! Bro. Bradley Gray and Sara were the kitchen team and served up a delicious pork loin meal to all attendees. After the meal, four couples were chosen to play the newlywed game. Freddie was the master of ceremonies. It was a lot of fun! Greg and Maria Bell were the winning couple receiving a gift certificate from Texas Roadhouse. Overall, $1,138* was donated for the youth and 56 people attended the dinner. Baptist can have fun.

* $100 was given the following day. Previous total was $1,038 at the dinner.
