Baptist Men Building Shed at Open Door of Hope (Wrap Up)

The Dover Baptist Men started a project in September to build a new storage shed for the Open Door of Hope in Shelbyville. Open Door of Hope is a shelter for homeless men in Shelbyville. Work began on storage building on September 22nd and was wrapped up for the most part on Thursday, the 5th of November. There are only some minor items left to be installed. Door hardware, roof trim pieces and we were shy one piece of sheet metal to finish covering the exterior. The building is roughly 95% complete. Additional help with the project was provided by Fred Tankersley, a great builder and a deacon at Little Mount Baptist Church. Charlotte White stopped by to make sure we had snacks and drinks.

Here are some photographs of what has been completed to date.
