Dover Hosts "Singspiration" Music Service (Updated with more photos)

Sunday evening, June 27, 2021, Dover Baptist Church hosted "Singspiration" which was what would normally had been 5th Sunday Sing, if June had a fifth Sunday. Choirs from Dover and Burk's Branch participated in the music show. Folks from Mt. Pleasant also came to the show even though they did not participate as a choir. This was the first time the three churches had gotten together in over a year and a half. It was really great to see everyone again and to hear some really great Gospel Music. The congregation also sang some great hymns and praise songs. After the service, the crowd moved over to the Family Life Center which had been nicely decorated for the post concert meal. Everyone brought "finger foods" and there was a LOT to eat. There was also a separate dessert table full of sweet goodies. There was a great deal of good Christian fellowship at the meal and no one should have gone away hungry as we had lots of food left over at the end. Take a look.....

Dover Youth Discuss Summer Camp at Church

Sunday service on June 27th, started with the youth getting up in front of the congregation and giving their thoughts and experiences on going to summer camp this year as a group. Each young person was given an opportunity to tell what they enjoyed, did and got out of attending church camp at Cedarmore this summer. They all did a really great job of public speaking, relating the things they did and the great experiences they had with youth from around the area who were also there. Based on what they had to say, camp was a life altering experience for all of them. One young man who attended, accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. To see more click the pic.

Darryl was Assistant Treasurer and also an usher at Dover Baptist Church. Please keep Darryl's family in your prayers as they deal with this tragic death.

Baptist Men Meeting Again Too

The Baptist Men met last night (15-Apr) for the first time since the corona virus started up last year. We had 10 men (and 1 woman for awhile) attend. We had a great meal provided by Carol Gross and Donnie Kamer. The men had barbequed pork sandwiches, potato salad, cole slaw, fruit bowls and a variety of cookies for dessert. After the meal, we discussed the what the future hold for Baptist Men and what we want to accomplish. Then we had a Bible Study focusing on Philippians 1:1-11. This particular passage relates to not allowing anyone to take away the Joy that Jesus Christ gives us all. We also have a goal of everyone bringing one other person for the next meeting in May. Here are some pics from the meeting.

There were some birthdays to celebrate at this past Tuesday's WMU meeting (April 13th). Barbara Sue Doyle and Shirley Chappell both had birthdays. Good Friday Service

We had a great Good Friday service at Dover Baptist Church. The service was held the evening of April 2nd and started at 7:00 PM. It was very somber service considering the subject of the day. We observed The Lord's Supper and then the lighting of candles ended the service. It was the best way in the world to spend an hour on Friday night. Remembering the sacrifice that Jesus made for all of us on that terrible day. To see more, click the photo of Bro. Ben.
