We had a rip snortin' good time
at church on Sunday, October 7, 2018 celebrating God in the
cowboy way. We had a great crowd show up (90 people). We had
great singing, preaching and afterwards some great Christian
fellowship and a meal. The choir sang, "Because He Lives,
Amen." Great! Brother Ben Early opened the service with
announcements and the scripture. He wore his western duds
too. Bro. Bradley directed the choir. The choir is getting
large enough that we may have to add a third row before
long. Jesse Poe and Lily Drury sang a special, "The Promises
He's Given Us." Bro. Gray clowned around with a stool
for Jesse to stand on so he can be as tall as Lily. Everyone
got a hoot out of that. Lots of cowboys and cowgirls showed
up. Brother Early's sermon was "Round Up to Revival." The
scripture was 2 Chronicles 7:14. We also welcomed a new
Christian at the end of the service. Gabe Turner, son of
Brian and Michelle Turner came forward to profess his faith
in Jesus Christ. Amen!
After worship, everyone mosied on over to the Family Life
Center from so grub. A great time of fun and food. There was
plenty to go around and people were encouraged to take some
home afterwards. Here are some pics from the service.
