Bro. Bradley Entertains

Dover Baptist Church's own, Bro. Bradley Gray, opened for The Noblemen and The LeFevre Quartet on Sunday night, August 30th, at the Highland Baptist Gospel show. He did a great job with some humor and songs. He told some jokes and sang a song called "Quarantine" that sounded a lot like Dolly Parton's Jolene. The song poked some fun at the current Corona Virus situation. He sure loves an audience of Christians! We had a good turnout of Dover Baptists to represent as well. Great job Bradley! We are Dover!

It's Eliza Broadus Offering Time

It's Eliza Broadus Offering for State Missions time! Envelopes for giving are located in the foyer of the church. Not sure what our goal is this year but give what you can. Here is a link to explain more about what the Eliza Broadus Offering is used for. https://www.kywmu.org/ebo.html

Dover Makes "Concrete" Changes

Wednesday August 27, 2020, Dover Baptist Church finally was able to get a couple of concrete projects off the drawing board and on the ground. After months of trying to get someone to pour a sidewalk and basketball court for the youth, The Lord came through and provided for it. Take a look by clicking on the concrete truck.

Kidz on Fire is Back Too!

Do your kids need something positive to do on Wednesday nights?  Dover Baptist Church's Janice Say has the "Kidz on Fire" going again on Wednesday nights at 6:30PM. Come on and join the fun and fellowship! Now that school is being taught at home, this will be a great chance for them to get out of the house and meet other kids and learn about Jesus.

Dover Youth Back in Business

Our youth are back at on Wednesday nights. Maybe it's time for your teenagers to get out of the house and enjoy some good Christian fun and fellowship with our Youth Leaders, Freddie and Diane Sharp. The Youth Group meets at 6:30 PM every Wednesday. Won't you join us?

In Person Church is the Way to Go!

In person church is in full swing at Dover Baptist Church! On Sunday, August 9, 2020 we had a live congregation and choir. There was plenty of room between seats so everyone was safely distanced. Maybe it is time you and your family should consider coming back to worship services? But only if you feel safe to do so. Don't get comfortable in the habit of NOT coming to church. This Sunday's sermon was "The Priority of Prayer." Maybe it's time you prayed about this?

The Choir is Back!

On Wednesday night, August 5th, the adult choir resumed rehearsals at Dover Baptist Church. We only had twelve (12) people attend but we had a great session with everyone eager to show their love for The Lord through song. We kept our social distance and welcome anyone who would like to join the choir to be here next Wednesday night at 7:30PM.  Psalm100:1 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. 2 Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing. The Bible tells me so.....

We also had a testimony that was very moving. Here is the sermon portion of the worship service. The title of the sermon was, "Heaven." Biblical reference is found in John 14:1-7. Here is our Prayer Calendar for February to help you "Put Your Heart In It" this month. Everyday should be a day of love, not just Valentines.

Youth Group Goes to The Main Event

On Sunday evening, January 12, 2020, Dover Baptist Youth Team leaders, Diane and Freddie Sharp, along with some other adult volunteers, took the Youth Group on a field trip to the Main Event in Louisville. Being a Christian can be fun as these youth and adults found out. Isn't it time your children are involved in our Youth Program? They meet every Wednesday in the Family Life Center at 6:30 PM for fun, fellowship and learning. To see more of what went on, click on the photo.

Lottie Moon Goal Exceeded

LOTTIE MOON UPDATE! A little late but better than never. Our church almost DOUBLED our goal of $1,100 for the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering by giving $2020 (which was Bro. Ben's goal for us.) Great job Dover Baptists!

New Family Joins Dover Baptist Church!

On Sunday, January 12, 2020, we welcomed a new family to Dover Baptist Church. Daniel Tindle and his daughters Calli and Prestly came forward and joined our church. Here are some photos of them. Please make sure to make them feel welcome when you see them. Introduce yourself and help make them feel at home. Welcome Tindle Family!

Prayer Team is Recognized

At church on Sunday, January 5, 2020, Bro. Ben Early and Vicki Anderson handed out cards/gifts of appreciation to all the members of the Prayer Team. Several members of the team were not present so others accepted for them. To see some more photos from the service, click on the photo at left.
